Premiership: Stam exit strictly 'footballing decision'

Manchester United chief executive Peter Kenyon has insisted that the departure of Jaap Stam to Lazio was not determined by finance.

United still do not appear to have come to terms with Stam’s switch to Serie A, even though veteran French star Laurent Blanc was quickly drafted in as a replacement.
