Eircom League: Shels record big win
Bray Wanderers 0 Shelbourne 3
After a scrappy start, Davy Byrne shot Shels in front on 25 minutes, his 20
yard drive squirming under the dive of a disappointed Alan Young.
Just minutes later Byrne cracked a 25 yarder off an upright while Stephen
Geoghegan had claims for a penalty waved away by referee Hughie Byrne ten
minutes before the break.
Shels did get a penalty two minutes after the restart.
Geoghegan was tripped by Matt Britton and Dessie Baker shot home from the spot.
Richie Baker then converted a cross from brother Dessie to add the third
goal on 65 minutes and give Dermot Keely's title favourites their biggest
win of the season.
