Premiership: Goal hero McAteer wins Blackburn recall

Jason McAteer is continuing to reap the benefits of his match-winning performance against Holland at Lansdowne Rd last Saturday, with a recall to the Blackburn side to face Sunderland tomorrow.

McAteer, who has not played a first team game in over five months, obviously impressed manager Graeme Souness, who has decided to give the 30-year-old midfielder a chance.

Fellow Irishmen Damien Duff and Alan Mahon are also in the starting eleven for the game at the Stadium of Light as Blackburn look to continue their positive beginning to the season.
