Eircom League: St Patrick’s Athletic fined

St Patrick’s Athletic have been fined £1,000 and warned about their future administration for lining out with Paul Marney in their opening three league games.

The Eircom league ruled that St Patrick's had inadvertently broken the rules after failing to send the player’s registration by registered post.

The club pleaded its case at a special meeting at Merrion Square this morning.

Meanwhile, Shelbourne holds a press conference this afternoon to unveil its new owners.
