Premiership: Players had no problem with Stam - Keane
Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane insists his Old Trafford team-mates had no problems with Jaap Stam before his £16.5m move to Italian giants Lazio.
Stam criticised several current United players in his controversial autobiography - but the Corkman has dismissed rumours of dressing room disquiet.
Keane, who claims he does not question the decision to sell Stam, said: "People shouldn’t believe some of the stories going round. I had no problems with Jaap, he’s a very nice lad and he was popular with the other players.
"But I have too much respect for Alex Ferguson to worry about his departure. He is the manager and he makes the decisions."
