Liverpool have completed the signing of Poland goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek from Feyenoord, according to the Dutch club.

The Rotterdam outfit announced on their website that they will receive £4.85m for the 28-year-old.

Liverpool were keen to wrap up the transfer before tomorrow's Champions League registration deadline.

Dudek is in Warsaw preparing for Poland's World Cup qualifier with Norway.

He has reportedly waived his rights to a £300,000 pay-off in order to clinch the move.

The player's agent Jan de Zeeuw said: "Jerzy has made a big sacrifice of around £300,000 to make sure it goes through. That shows his desire to become a Liverpool player."
