Juventus Davids awaits drugs hearing verdict

Dutch midfielder Edgar Davids has appeared at a hearing in Italy over claims that he tested positive for the drug nandrolone.

The Juventus player faces an eight-month ban if he is found guilty.

This could mean Davids will miss this Saturday’s Ireland World Cup qualifier against Holland.

Davids has been banned from club and international games since May, pending the hearing.
