Premiership: United win opening match

Manchester United have started their title defence with a win over Fulham.

Premiership new-boys, Fulham, gave the champions a run for their money after they scored the opening goal through Saha.

United hit back with a free-kick from Beckham to go into half-time at one all.

The second half saw the champions being stung again from Saha to give Fulham the lead.

However two goals from Van Nistleroy sealed the win.
