Premiership: Finidi George holds transfer talks with Ipswich

Nigerian international Finidi George will fly into Ipswich tomorrow to discuss a possible move from Real Mallorca to the Premiership.

George was reportedly placed on the team-sheet for Mallorca's Champions League qualifier against Hajduk Split, prompting Ipswich manager George Burley to move quickly.

Ipswich are currently in the process of applying for a work permit for the midfielder and, while a fee has not been revealed, it is believed to be in the region of £3.5m. George scored seven goals in 35 games for Mallorca last season.
