Premiership: Veron signs for £28.1m

Manchester United have smashed their own transfer record by completing the signing of Juan Sebastian Veron for more than £28m.

Veron signed for United in a five year deal worth £2.1m more than reported.

Veron is the second big buy for United after they signed Van Nistleroy earlier in the year.
