Charlton manager Alan Curbishley has signed a new four-year contract with the club.

Curbishley's name had been linked with the vacant manager's job at West Ham following Harry Redknapp's departure from Upton Park.

But the 43-year-old boss told Charlton's official website: "Following all the media speculation about my future, I am pleased to commit myself to Charlton for a further four years.

"The club has made sustained progress in recent seasons and I am very confident that will continue."
