Ecuador's national soccer coach Hernan Gomez has vowed to continue as boss despite being shot during an argument over team selection.

Gomez was reportedly shot in the coastal city of Guayaquil during an argument with Joselo Rodriguez, president of the second division Santa Rita soccer club.
