Premiership: Owen ready to commit to Liverpool
Michael Owen is prepared to commit himself to Liverpool for the next four years because he feels that the club are ready to end Manchester United's dominance.
Liverpool have already proven they are a force again with their Uefa Cup victory over Barcelona.
And now Owen can only see exciting times ahead for the Reds.
He said: "I don't think anyone can doubt the likes of myself, Robbie Fowler or Jamie Carragher when we say we believe the club is really going places.
"We can see that times have never been as exciting at Liverpool and we want to be part of that because we've been trying to do it for some years.
"A few of us have been here since we were kids and it would be brilliant if we could win the League together.
"The local lads have given 10-15 years of their lives to the club and no-one will be happier than them if we can do it over the coming seasons.
"We want to be in the Champions League next season and we will be going all out to secure at least a third-place finish."
