Two footballers, sacked over allegations they took cocaine, are seeking a judicial review of the Scottish Football Association's decision to uphold their dismissal.

Two footballers, sacked over allegations they took cocaine, are seeking a judicial review of the Scottish Football Association's decision to uphold their dismissal.

Northern Ireland international George O'Boyle and ex-Hearts and Morton player Kevin Thomas have also applied for an industrial tribunal hearing.

The pair were sacked by St Johnstone Football Club on January 5, on the grounds of gross misconduct.

An SFA Appeals Committee overruled the findings of an independent commission appointed by the Scottish Premier League (SPL) that had upheld the players' appeals against the sackings.

However, Edinburgh-based lawyer Richard McAnulty claimed the conduct of yesterday's hearing was "contrary to natural justice" and said he was seeking a judicial review of the SFA's decision.
