Soccer: Best pulls out of TV date

Wayward soccer legend George Best has pulled out of a public appearance scheduled for tonight due to ill-health.

Best was to have provided commentary for the BBC on the Northern Ireland fixture against the Czech Republic in his native Belfast this evening but ‘‘did not feel up to it’’, said his agent Phil Hughes.
