FC Bayern München are on the verge of reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League after their 3-0 victory over Spartak Moscow at the snowbound Luzhniki stadium.

Mehmet Scholl got the first of his two goals in the first half after 17 minutes, his second being a penalty in the 75th minute.
