Premiership: Robinson faces fitness fight

Charlton winger John Robinson faces a race against time to be fit for the Addicks' next Premiership match.

The Wales international was stretchered off in obvious pain during the 3-0 friendly win against Trinidad & Tobago at The Valley.

A nasty leg gash is expected to keep him out of action for about a week but a Charlton spokesman said it could yet sideline Robinson from Charlton's match at Coventry on Saturday week.

Wales boss Mark Hughes has chosen the former Brighton youngster for a training camp at La Manga at the end of this month.

Fit-again Jonatan Johansson, Kevin Lisbie and Karim Bagheri scored in last night's friendly and Andy Hunt successfully came through a half on his comeback.
