Soccer: Police seek footballer after crash

West Ham footballer Gary Charles is being sought by police after his £70,000 Mercedes car was found abandoned following a crash in Essex.

According to police, the car was reportedly left with its lights on and keys in the ignition after a collision with a red Sierra.

An eyewitness says he saw a man running away from the scene after a chase by the Sierra driver.
