Two of United’s three major summer signings, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic, caught the eye in an impressive season-opening 4-0 Premier League thrashing of West Ham on Sunday.

Lukaku, the club record £75m (€82.5m) buy, scored the opening two goals while midfielder Matic, bought for £40m (€44m) from champions Chelsea, was named man of the match.
