Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has no regrets about leaving Daniel Sturridge on the bench for their Europa League semi-final defeat in Villarreal and even with hindsight would make the same decision again.

The England striker, who has scored four in his last five matches, was an unused substitute in Spain on Thursday night despite the Reds lacking a cutting edge up front.

Klopp is likely to ring the changes for tomorrow’s trip to Swansea, which kicks off 56 hours after they returned from their Europa League semi-final in Villarreal. Goalkeeper Danny Ward could get another start while Sturridge, is set for a recall.
