Emmanuel Adebayor can lift Crystal Palace, reckons Scott Dann
Adebayor made his first start as Crystal Palace stopped the rot of five consecutive defeats. Eagles boss Alan Pardew had suggested Adebayor’s fitness meant he could only make a cameo appearances at Liberty Stadium.
Central defender Dann underlined his threat from set-pieces by scoring for the second successive game to cancel out Gylfi Sigurdsson’s superb early free-kick.
Adebayor played 86 minutes and Dann feels he has a huge role to play at Palace.
“He is going to be a big player for us until the end of the season if we can use his qualities and get him into the game. At previous clubs he has proved he is a world-class striker and he has shown it over and over again.”
Swansea are unbeaten in three games under new head coach Francesco Guidolin but sit just two places and four points above the drop zone.
“We are four points clear but that’s nothing if we don’t keep picking up points,” warned midfielder Jack Cork.
