Arsenal stun Bayern Munich to keep Euro dreams alive

Arsenal 2 Bayern Munich 0: Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil scored late goals to keep Arsenal’s Champions League hopes alive with a rare victory against the seemingly invincible German champions.

Bayern were unbeaten this season and had won on their two previous visits to Emirates and were by far the better team, but Arsenal ran themselves into the ground in the hope they might get something from the match.

They were rewarded in spectacular fashion on a night they had to win after losing their opening two group ties.
