Scotland's Euro 2016 dream dies

The flower of Scotland finally wilted last night as Robert Lewandowski’s stoppage-time equaliser at Hampden Park eliminated Gordon Strachan’s side form the Euros and kept Poland’s surge to France on track.

Though last year’s meeting Group D meeting in Warsaw had the same outcome, this game, as the penultimate fixture in the campaign, made Scotland’s final match against Gibraltar a dead rubber.
