Veteran Cole adds spark for Villa

The 33-year-old midfielder has had to bide his time since joining Villa from West Ham in the summer but could not have done much more on his first Premier League start for the club.

Cole linked up brilliantly with Gabriel Agbonlahor, Tom Cleverley and Andreas Weimann as the league’s lowest scorers put on a display of attacking intent and scored his first goal for 11 months late in the first half.
