Adebayor regrets celebration

Emmanuel Adebayor regrets his controversial ‘knee-slide’ celebration against Arsenal and says he bears no ill-will to his former club.

The Tottenham striker was hit with a suspended two-match ban for running the length of the pitch to taunt Arsenal’s supporters after scoring against them for Manchester City in 2009.

Adebayor has since both scored and been sent-off against the Gunners while playing for Tottenham and the Togolese says he is not the type of character to join in the craze of not celebrating against former clubs.
