Clarets snap up Ward

Stephen Ward is back in the Premier League after he agreed a move to Burnley last night. Ward was out of favour at Wolves but now looks to revive his career at Turf Moor, signing for an undisclosed fee.

He said: “I’m thrilled, I’ve had eight years at Wolves now and I was on loan at Brighton last year but to start a new chapter in my career is great.”

Cardiff City have completed the signing of Ireland winger Anthony Pilkington, pictured right, from Norwich City for a fee believed to be in the region of £1m.
