The Seagulls had a chance to make the breakthrough on just 12 minutes when David Cassidy set up an opening for Jake Kelly only for the winger to shoot just wide from 16 yards.
Bray again went close on 25 minutes when a neat combination of passes between Jake Kelly and Cassidy allowed the always dangerous Kelly get in a shot that was blocked at the expense of a corner by Hoops keeper Barry Murphy.
Early in the second half Bray again threatened when Cassidy created the opening for Ismahil Akinade only for the Nigerian striker to drill the ball.
Against the run of play, Rovers took the lead on 57 minutes when a Sean O’Connor cross was headed onto his own post by Bray defender David Scully and Dean Kelly fired in the rebound.
Six minutes later, a confident Hoops stretched their lead when a Gary McCabe corner was headed powerfully home by central defender Jason McGuinness at the far post.
The match was all over on 71 minutes when a cross from Simon Madden was forced home from close range by midfielder Shane Robinson.
Late on a McCabe corner was headed just wide by Robinson as the Hoops took full control in the latter stages.
Bray are now without a win their last eight league games.
