Kammy to the rescue after Rio robbery

Fifa doesn’t allow non-rights holders such as Sky Sports access to any of its World Cup media centres, but a broadcasting colossus like Chris Kamara doesn’t need that kind of mollycoddling to make an impact in Brazil.

Unbelievably, Jeff, Kammy emerged as the star of the rest day when he chased and nabbed a Rio thief, then live-tweeted the drama.

“Not lost me pace!!! I just caught this street robber. Done in now though,” he wrote, alongside a photo of himself standing over his handcuffed captive. Understandably, coming from a reporter who is not always able to tell us who just scored, the mood did sour slightly when Kammy learned of his administrative responsibilities. “My good deed has backfired.
