Dunleavy set to be named new City captain
The 22-year-old Donegal native, capped at underage level for Ireland, has been a mainstay of the side since arriving in Turner’s Cross a year ago, his signing by then manager Tommy Dunne coming with a personal recommendation from the player’s former boss at Wolves, Mick McCarthy.
Having proved his versatility as both defender and midfielder, Dunleavy re-signed for City in December with new manager John Caulfield hailing his contribution to the club.
