Ireland set to face mighty Spain in June

Ireland are set for another meeting with Spain — this time in the United States.

The FAI yesterday said that arrangements are at an advanced stage for a week-long trip to America for the Irish squad in June but, while they declined to announce details until everything is confirmed, it is believed that a meeting with Spain, to be played in New York, is on the agenda.

The last time the two countries met was at the Euro 2012 in Poland last summer when the Spanish ran out 4-0 winners.
