Meyler and Brady poised for Hull deals

The transfer window may have been only open a day, but there is already some significant Irish movement — all in the direction of Hull City.

Sunderland midfielder David Meyler is to make his loan move to the Championship club permanent in a €1.8m deal, with Manchester United’s Robbie Brady also set to extend his own loan deal at the KC Stadium.

Hull manager Steve Bruce didn’t waste any time as he put in a bid for Meyler yesterday morning, which Sunderland are understood to be ready to accept. Talks, meanwhile, have been ongoing between Hull and United in order to keep Brady there until at least the end of the season.
