Dunne ready to resume

Republic of Ireland defender Richard Dunne trained with the Aston Villa first team yesterday for the first time since last season.

Dunne has endured a nightmare run of injuries but is convinced the worst is behind him as he bids to return to club and international football.

“It’s hard when you’re not involved and not training,” said the 33-year-old.
