Irish eye Greece and Poland

The FAI has confirmed two international friendlies against Greece and Poland at Aviva Stadium.

The national side face the Greeks on November 14, 2012 and the Poles on February 6, 2013.

Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni said: “These matches provide me with a very important opportunity to work with the squad and test ourselves against strong European opposition in preparation for the pivotal World Cup Qualification double header against Sweden and Austria in March 2013.”

The Republic of Ireland’s next home match will take place against Germany in Aviva Stadium on October 12. Tickets are on sale through www.ticketmaster.ie
