Cheick Tiote, ruled out of Newcastle midfield on Saturday with a calf injury, is a target for Arsenal but Pardew insisted he has yet to receive a formal approach for a player he is keen to keep.

Meanwhile, Roberto Di Matteo claimed Chelsea’s transfer business has now been done, claiming the arrival of Victor Moses has removed the need to bring in another striker. Nontheless, it would come as no surprise to see another move for Hulk or Edinson Cavani.
