Milan: Ibrahimovic and Silva off to Paris
The Milan stars would move to the big-spending French club in a €62 million deal.
PSG sporting director Leonardo had earlier confirmed that talks were set to take place with Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola. And Berlusconi has told the Italian media that both the Swedish striker and Brazilian defender will be leaving the club as part of cost-cutting measures at the San Siro.
“Yes, I have sold Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to PSG,” Berlusconi was quoted as saying in Gazzetta dello Sport.
Manchester City defender Kolo Toure is in talks with Bursaspor over a move to Turkey.
Toure was a £16m (€20.2m) arrival from Arsenal three years ago and remains one of the most popular players at City.
However, he has never recovered his first-team spot after being forced to spend six months on the sidelines following a failed drugs test, which was blamed on the 31-year-old taking one of his wife’s slimming products.
“Obviously nothing is certain until he signs pen to paper, however we are working hard to try finalise a deal,” Bursaspor manager Ertugrul Saglam said.
Elsewhere, Fabio Borini looks set to become Brendan Rodgers’ first signing as Liverpool boss amid reports the Reds have agreed a £12m fee for the striker with Roma.
Fulham, meanwhile, have bolstered their strike options after completing a deal to sign Hugo Rodallega on a free transfer from Wigan.
