U21 boss King adds strikers

Republic of Ireland U21 boss Noel King has added Ipswich striker Ronan Murray and Carlisle United forward Paddy Madden to his squad for the forthcoming matches against Denmark and Italy.

Inverness striker Aaron Doran has been forced out through injury.

King has also invited Leicester City’s Cian Bolger and Burnley’s Kevin Long to train with the squad prior to the friendly against Denmark as Watford’s Sean Murray and Aston Villa’s Samir Carruthers will still be involved with the U19s.

Meanwhile, tickets for the UEFA U21 Championships qualifier against Italy at the Showgrounds in Sligo on Monday, Jun 4 will go on sale tomorrow. Tickets cost €10 for adults and €5 for children aged 16 and under.
