Reid is out for rest of the season

Republic of Ireland player Steven Reid will miss the rest of the season with ankle ligament damage after suffering the injury during West Brom’s 1-0 win over Chelsea in the Premier League last weekend.

A scan confirmed the extent of the damage to Reid’s injury and he is now set to undergo surgery before facing a 12-week spell on the sidelines.

“Unfortunately we lost Steven during the Chelsea game and it looks very much as if he is going to be out for the rest of the season,” revealed West Brom manager Roy Hodgson.
