Henry reckons Liverpool victory could be start of something big

Liverpool’s principal owner John Henry believes their Carling Cup win over Cardiff is the stepping stone to restoring the club’s former glories.

The Reds edged a tight affair on penalties at Wembley and Henry was present to see the club his Fenway Sports Group bought in October 2010 win their first trophy for six years.

Henry thinks it could be an important day in the Reds’ history, considering the turbulent recent past of former American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
