Rooney hits back at Mancini red mist

WAYNE ROONEY last night took a swipe at Roberto Mancini for calling for Maynor Figueroa to be sent off.

Mancini was fuming two minutes from time when ref Martin Atkinson failed to dismiss Maynor Figueroa for a deliberate handball when he stopped a De Jong through-ball that would have sent Aguero clean though. “Was Manchini asking for red card????,” Rooney asked on Twitter. It is clearly a reference to Mancini’s claim Rooney’s brandishing of an ‘imaginary red card’ resulted in Vincent Kompany’s dismissal in the Manchester derby FA Cup clash earlier this month.
