Givet withdrawn after heart scare

BLACKBURN defender Gael Givet suffered a serious heart scare in yesterday’s clash at the Stadium of Light.

Givet suffered an irregular heartbeat and was replaced after 22 minutes of the clash.

Manager Steve Kean explained: “Gael’s had that before, his pulse was pounding out of his neck so we had to take him off to ensure it didn’t become a serious situation

“He’s had it before, his pulse was pounding out of his neck so the doctors said the potential was there to collapse, so we just had to get him off.”
