Mancini has shown steel, says Fergie
Ahead of tomorrow’s eagerly-awaited Manchester derby at Old Trafford, Ferguson made it quite clear he was not talking specifically about Carlos Tevez, and pointedly refused to answer whether, in light of the South American star’s recent conduct, if he had been proved correct in letting him leave United in 2009.
However, in trying to mould together a squad capable of challenging for the title from a group of players, some demanding, then having to guide City through choppy waters created by the departure of chief executive Garry Cook, Ferguson believes Mancini has done an outstanding job, for which he is not being given due credit.
