BOLTON defender Gary Cahill may have been unsettled by the transfer window speculation over his future but the England international has matters in perspective after his life-threatening experience 18 months ago.

The 25-year-old was linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham before Wednesday night’s transfer deadline, and ended a “mad week” by scoring England’s opener in Friday’s 3-0 Euro 2012 qualifying win in Bulgaria.

But the former Aston Villa man is aware his health is more important than any possible move to the Emirates Stadium or White Hart Lane after a blood clot was discovered in his upper chest in February 2010.
