Carlo wants Blues stay

CARLO ANCELOTTI admitted he did not know whether he was waving farewell to the Chelsea supporters as he joined his players on a lap of honour following the Blues’ final home game of the season but expressed his confidence he will remain at Stamford Bridge.

The manager will discover whether he will be given the chance to see out the remaining year of his contract after the campaign has been concluded with next Sunday’s trip to Everton.

The club hierarchy is believed to be reviewing the claims of a number of candidates to succeed the Italian but Ancelotti insists it is by no means certain he will go.
