Lennon denies illness claims

AARON LENNON has put himself on a collision course with Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp by denying claims he fell ill minutes before kick-off in Tuesday night’s 4-0 defeat to Real Madrid.

Redknapp replaced Lennon at the last minute with Jermaine Jenas for Tuesday’s Champions League match at the Santiago Bernabeu because the winger had “no energy, no strength”.

However, in a defiant Twitter post, Lennon contradicted Redknapp by saying he had been feeling ill since Sunday.
