O’Hara waiting on Irish call

JAMIE O’HARA says he’s waiting for Ireland’s call from Giovanni Trapattoni.

Midfielder O’Hara, who scored in Wolves’ 1-1 draw with fellow Premier League strugglers West Brom on Sunday, has played for England at U21 level but is eligible for Ireland under the grandparent rule. Trapattoni has spoken about O’Hara, on loan at Molineux from Tottenham, but has yet to select the Dartford-born player.

“I’ve been injured for a while, so I haven’t really thought about it, but if I get a phone call then obviously that’s something I’m going to have to think about and discuss with the family because everyone wants to play on the international stage,” said O’Hara.
