Super-sub Fortune strikes late to rescue point for Baggies

SUBSTITUTE Marc-Antoine Fortune rescued a point for West Brom in a pulsating Premier League relegation battle with Wigan at The Hawthorns last night.

Peter Odemwingie gave Albion an early lead only for the Latics to hit back through Charles N’Zogbia and Ben Watson. But Fortune salvaged a share of the spoils for the home side with 11 minutes remaining to keep the Baggies three points ahead of Wigan with a game in hand.

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez was pleased with his side’s performance after falling behind but admitted they must start to kill games off.
