West Ham can beat the drop, says new boy Keane

REPUBLIC of Ireland captain Robbie Keane finally completed his loan move to West Ham last night and insisted the Hammers can avoid relegation.

The out-of-favour Tottenham striker was at Upton Park yesterday to watch his new team-mates beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 in the fourth round of the FA Cup before finalising his move to the Hammers.

And Keane, who has joined the Hammers on an initial six-month basis, which will continue for a further two years provided the club are in the Premier League next season, is confident West Ham have the quality to survive.
