Henderson keeps to Black Cats’ party line

SUNDERLAND midfielder Jordan Henderson is refusing to allow dreams of European qualification to distract him from his mission.

The 20-year-old helped the Black Cats climb into sixth place in the Barclays Premier League with a 3-0 victory over Blackburn on Saturday to take them to 30 points with 17 games of the campaign remaining.

However, manager Steve Bruce has been at pains in recent weeks to manage expectations on Wearside and, if Henderson’s outlook is anything to judge by, he has got his message across successfully.
