POLICE were called after a glass was thrown at Sunderland striker Darren Bent’s car while it was parked in Newcastle.

The incident, which the 26-year-old England international revealed on Twitter, happened late yesterday afternoon.

No-one was hurt and Bent’s Land Rover was not damaged.
