LIONEL MESSI struck two goals as Barcelona moved top of Group D after squeezing past FC Copenhagen at the Nou Camp last night.

Messi broke the deadlock in the 19th minute and the Argentinian ace tapped home in stoppage time to secure the points.

In the other Group D game Panathinaikos and Rubin Kazan played out a scoreless draw.
